This is the monument of the men digging the ground on the Afcluitdijk in Holland. The Dijk is a 30 km bank (mountain of soil) that keeps Holland dry. Dutch people built it themselves in 1933. They made Holland literally themselves, because before this teritory was under the sea. Thousands of people worked for 5 years!!!!
